Martinique at Abacoa is one of the sixteen subdivisions within the Jupiter Abacoa real estate development. One of the newer neighborhoods, Martinique revolves around the concept of a traditional neighborhood development, with a mixture of single family homes, townhomes, and custom estates. Notable homebuilder DiVosta completed the Caribbean-style single family homes and townhomes in 2005, while Frankel-Paone and Issa Homes constructed and designed the remarkable custom estates along Greenway Drive.

Per regulations, homeowners are permitted to rent their garage apartment, a popular option for college students attending Florida Atlantic University Jupiter Campus.
